Studioaquilano srl is an italian Company of naval architects, marine engineers and consultants.
We have a significant experience in shipbuilding and especially in cruise ships, yachts, pax ferries and passenger ships as regards basic design, classification drawings, production drawings, nesting, coordination drawings, P&ID schemes, survey and work direction. For all our activities we have 4 dept.: structure, outfitting, electrical, furniture/accommodation. Our team includes professionals with specific expertises at all stages of shipbuilding since the first step, from Fincantieri shipyard former directors up to designers, draftmen, etc, etc..
We are very well experienced in the matter of Class and Flag having worked for over two decades in this specific field. Our collaboration with other companies in the shipbuilding business allow us to manage turn key work-orders for refitting / maintenance (naval carpentry, any plants, engines, interior design). Since 2015 we've been involved in the last cruise newbuildings built by Fincantieri in its Ancona shipyard. We're in charge to assist and support the shipyard production to solve in real time all the problems upcoming at all building stages (from the steel prefabrication up to all systems piping and oufitting in general).
Generally we manage all the drawings and documents to update these documents in case of clashes, remarks, modifications, Class/Owner requests, etc, etc. Our support is really useful for the fruitful building process, because we allow the shipyard to save time, and money, avoiding losses of time. A few years ago we proposed successfully our model to Fincantieri, according to my personal experience gained along some years spent as production director in Fincantieri and in private italian shipyards. Moreover we adopt a 3d laser scanner very useful for newbuilding, refurbishment, repairs and sales affairs. You can visit our website: www.sa3ds.com.
